Eilian Bay, Llaneilian
Eilian Bay is a sheltered cove 5 minutes stroll from Llanfoi which is safe for swimming. The beach won a 'Seaside Award 2007' confirming water quality, cleanliness, and access to disabled visitors. 1 in 4 Welsh beaches that won an award are on Anglesey.
Fishing
Mackerel are plentiful in these clear waters from the rocks, beach or boat, using feathers or spinners. The rockpools and stream provide endless fascination for children!
Lynas Point Lighthouse
From the beach, follow the road along the headland and to the end of Lynas Point and the castellated lighthouse. Something spectacular is guaranteed here almost every day, in sunshine or in storm. Watch the sunset from Meg Bailey's seat, or sunrise over the whirlpool beneath the end of the Point - a tidal race as two tides collide on the most northern tip of Wales.
Great views!
Views reach across to the Great Orme at Llandudno and Puffin Island, seal colonies on 'Ynys Dulas' island and on a good day, the Isle of Man.
You are now on the coastal path. If you follow it for 125 miles, you'll come back to where you are standing. Perhaps leave that for another day?
